Learn how to use DataPublisher for Word Beta effectively

Quick Start Guide

Get up and running with DataPublisher Beta in 5 simple steps:

  1. Install the Add-in

    Download and run the beta installer from the installation page. The automated PowerShell script will set up everything for you.

  2. Open Microsoft Word

    Launch Word and look for "DataPublisher (Beta)" in the Home ribbon. If you don't see it, go to Insert → Get Add-ins → Shared Folder.

  3. Create Your Account

    Click the DataPublisher button to open the task pane. Sign up with your beta testing credentials (provided in your invitation email).

  4. Try Sample Data

    Download our sample CSV files to test the import functionality. Start with the Business Directory sample.

  5. Create Your First Document

    Import the sample data, choose a template, and watch DataPublisher automatically generate your document!

Pro Tip: Start with sample data before using your own files. This helps you understand the features without worrying about data formatting.

Upload CSV files directly into Word. Supports UTF-8 encoding, custom delimiters, and files up to 10MB.
